Job summary

IKEA USA in Sarasota is seeking a Retail Store Associate to float across departments and deliver a first-rate shopping experience. You will actively help customers, maintain merchandise standards, and share product knowledge to guide purchases.

The role includes collaborating with teams, stocking areas, processing transactions, and supporting food service operations as needed. 90-day seasonal position with benefits for eligible co-workers.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience.
• Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs.

Responsibilities

• Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked.
• Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices.
• Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, calendar implementation and remodels.
• Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness and sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.
• Flow product to final selling location.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.
• Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.
