Job summary

IKEA Madison is hiring for full-time and part-time associates to help customers, stock shelves, and uphold merchandising standards. You will learn product features and guide guests to smart solutions for their homes, contributing to a friendly, welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of retail experience, preferably in the home furnishing sector.
  • Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
  • Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked. Ensures that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience.
  • Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices, resulting in a better overall shopping experience.
  • Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels.
  • Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness and sanitation, and workplace safety.
  • Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.
  • Flow product to final selling location.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.
  • Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.

ANTICIPATED START DATE - Early October

  • Full-time associates, requires full open availability
  • Part-time associates, requires full weekend availability
  • Seasonal Full-time associates, requires full open availability for 90-180 days.

The pay range for this role is $18.50 - $26.14 based on IKEA equivalent years of experience.

The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 18.5 USD to 26.14 USD and will be based on relevant work experience.
