Job summary

IKEA Huntsville store is hiring a Permanent - Full-Time Retail Associate to assist customers, keep shelves stocked, and support food service operations. You will help guests find the right solutions and ensure a positive shopping experience.

You will learn product features, build furniture as needed, manage inbound goods, and process transactions while maintaining merchandising standards and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience, preferably in the home furnishing sector.
• Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs.

Responsibilities

• Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked. Ensures that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience.
• Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices, resulting in a better overall shopping experience.
• Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels.
• Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness and sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.
• Flow product to final selling location.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.
• Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.

JOB TYPE: Permanent - Full-Time (benefits eligible)

HOURS: 34-40 hrs/week (FT) - limited openings for each

SHIFT: Retail Environment; must be able to work nights & weekends.

The pay range for this role is $18.50 to $23.59

The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 18.5 USD to 23.59 USD and will be based on relevant work experience.
