Job summary

Harbor Freight Tools is hiring an Assistant Manager (full-time) in the South Hill area. You will lead a high-performing team, coach staff, and model exceptional customer service during early to late hours (6am–10pm). A monthly bonus is available, along with benefits and a clear path to promotion.

Eligibility includes 401(k), medical/dental/vision, life and disability coverage, PTO, and associate discounts. You’ll contribute to a stable, growing retail environment focused on people first.

Qualifications

• Recent leadership experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to manage customer interactions and coach staff.
• Comfort with flexible scheduling and shift coverage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and model professional customer service.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store.
• Cross-train in all store operations, including stocking and sales duties.
• Lead, coach, and develop others.
• Serve as Leader on Duty as scheduled.
• Be a subject matter expert and model Great Place To Work behaviors.
• Ensure items are in stock and priced correctly.
• Other duties as assigned.
