Role Description The Retail Specialist role at Alato World is a contract, hybrid position based in New York, NY, with a mix of in-store work and some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the Retail Specialist will engage directly with customers on the sales floor, provide knowledgeable guidance on products, and ensure an excellent in-store experience. Responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date product knowledge, supporting merchandising and inventory organization, and communicating customer feedback to internal teams. The Retail Specialist will also assist in meeting sales targets, resolving customer issues promptly, and upholding brand standards in all interactions and store presentations.

Qualifications

• Strong retail-focused skills, including Retail Sales and Product Knowledge, with the ability to match customer needs to the right products.
• Customer-centric abilities, such as Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a consistent focus on positive, solution-oriented interactions.
• Excellent Communication skills, both in person and in writing, to interact effectively with customers, teammates, and internal stakeholders.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment, balancing in-store responsibilities with occasional remote tasks (e.g., reporting, training).
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
