Once Upon a Child in Brighton is looking for a Shift Leader to join our team. This position will oversee the retail location and its staff during the afternoon/evening shifts.

The ideal candidate will be sales and team-oriented, display strong attention to detail, and maintain professionalism at all times. A shift leader is a skilled multi-tasker, holds keys to the store, and demonstrates leadership as well as exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Sales services – Report daily sales and capture all credit and cash receipts. Fill out daily reports as required and have the ability to problem-solve register issues.
• Customer Service – Respond to customer issues and resolve their needs as they arise. Maintain a clean store environment safe from all hazards.
• Supervise – Lead by example. Motivate the sales team with effective communication and keep other employees on task to complete goals for the day.

Requirements:

• Previous retail experience, preferably in a leadership role.
• Ability to stay calm, patient, and professional at all times.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven record of motivating staff.

Once Upon a Child is a franchise kids resale store. Each store is independently owned and operated. Our store is proud to buy thousands of gently used kids' items from the public and sell them at a great value to our customers. Our employees enjoy a work culture that promotes organization, while having fun and making sure our customers are taken care of before all else.

A full-time employee works a minimum of 32 hours per week and will receive paid vacation time after working one year at the store. All employees have a 20-30% off discount on items in the store. Occasional bonuses and other perks are also available.
