Job summary

ATN Event Staffing is seeking motivated Retail Setup & Merchandising Assistants to support the final preparation and merchandising of a new sporting goods store opening. This is a flexible, project-based role with no requirement to commit to every date.

Candidates should be dependable, patient, and adaptable. No direct experience is required, though prior retail or merchandising experience is a plus. Schedules run Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm in Sioux Falls, SD, with select dates available.

Qualifications

• No direct retail experience required.
• Prior retail, merchandising, or apparel experience is a plus, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Set up and arrange merchandise displays to match brand standards.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking to maintain proper levels.

Job Description

Role: Retail Setup & Merchandising Assistant

Event: Sporting Goods Store Opening Event

Overview: ATN Event Staffing is seeking motivated and reliable Retail Setup & Merchandising Assistants to support the final preparation and merchandising of a new sporting goods brand retail location. This is a flexible, project-based opportunity. You do not need to commit to every date.

NO DIRECT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
We’re looking for dependable people who are patient, flexible, hardworking, and ready to jump in where needed. Setup can involve changes and adjustments, so being adaptable and staying positive are important.

Prior retail, merchandising, or apparel experience is a plus, but not necessary.

Location/Date/Hours

You will be considered for your local event

Schedule – Monday – Friday – 8:00am – 5:00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
Dates- You are not required to work all dates and may select based on your availability

• Sioux Falls, SD
  • Monday, October 12th – Friday, October 16th
  • Monday, October 19th – Friday, October 23rd

Job Duties:

• Support and follow direction from the onsite merchandiser/manager
• Work as part of a team to set up and arrange merchandise displays, ensuring the store layout is attractive, organized, and aligned with brand standards
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, labeling, and stocking products to maintain proper inventory levels
• Contribute to the final store preparations by helping merchandise, stock shelves, and set up displays as needed

• Takes direction well and proactive in assisting alongside the team
• A positive, patient demeanor and an ability to be flexible while the design and merchandise teams evaluate the setup of each area
