Job summary

The Michaels Stores in Waynesville, NC is hiring a team member to assist customers, locate products, and provide friendly checkout experiences. You will support in-store merchandising, participate in truck unloads and stocking, and engage customers in rewards programs.

The role involves omnichannel tasks such as BOPIS and SFS, plus maintaining stock levels and store standards. Applicants should have retail or customer service experience, be able to stand long hours, and meet safety and policy

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
• Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
• Michaels requires all team members in this role to be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return/go back process
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; promote the organization’s vision and values
