Job summary

Family Dollar in Livingston, Texas is seeking a Customer Service Associate II to support daily store operations, assist customers, and help with merchandising and front-end duties as needed, while maintaining a clean, welcoming shopping environment.

You will handle cash transactions, maintain a clean, welcoming environment, and work as part of a team to ensure efficient store performance while following safety and integrity standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
• High level of integrity is required
• Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting is required

Responsibilities

• Receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and processing freight in a safe manner
• Merchandising and stocking as needed
• Cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring areas are neat and presentable
• Maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Managing sales transactions at the assigned cash register
• Maintaining security of cash and protecting company assets
• Other duties as assigned
