Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Texas LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Houston to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; training and support are provided to maintain a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent movement and lifting tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
