Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Associate for our Newton, NJ location. You will deliver friendly customer service, help customers find products, and ensure a fast checkout experience with accurate cash handling.

You will support omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS and participate in stock, planograms, and recovery tasks to keep the store well merchandised. Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience and can engage customers with the Michaels Rewards program.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain in-stock merchandise and perform recovery and returns processes.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
