Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Background checks required.
  • Preemployment drug and alcohol screening.
  • Eligible for employment under Nevada cannabis regulations.
  • Maintain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
  • Previous customer service, security, or safety experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

PositionSummary

The Retail Security Supervisor supports retail operations by serving in a dual-function role that combines reception and security responsibilities within the licensed retail facility. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, patients, and visitors; assessing and de-escalating situations; responding to workplace injuries and security incidents; and supporting regulatory compliance within retail operations.

  • Serve as the primary reception point for customers, patients, and visitors, including greeting individuals, answering phones, and providing authorized information in a professional manner.
  • Conductcustomerintakeproceduresbyverifyingagethroughscanningvalididentificationanddirectingcustomersthroughinitialpurchasingsteps.
  • Enforcefacilityaccessrules,includingdenyingentryorrequestingindividualsleavethepremiseswhenrequiredbypolicy.
  • Assess developing situations and engage with customers, patients, or employees to deescalate conflicts, disturbances, or disruptive behavior in a calm and professional manner.
  • Respondtoalarms,disturbances,injuries,accidents,securityincidents,andemergencysituations.
  • Lead initial response to workplace injuries, including providing First Aid and AED support and assisting with incident documentation and follow-up reporting.
  • Initiate,document,andmaintainaccurateincidentreports,witnessstatements,andsecurityrecordsrelatedtosafety,security,orcomplianceevents.
  • Coordinatewithemergencyservicesorlawenforcementwhenescalationisrequired.
  • Protectcompanyassetsfromtheft,diversion,assault,fire,andothersafetyorsecurityrisks.
  • Communicatesecurityconcerns,incidents,andongoingissuesduringshifttransitionstoensurecontinuityofcoverage.

This position requires working in environments where cannabis products are present, which may include exposure to marijuana odor and plant-related airborne dust particles.

This is a customer- and patient-facing position and requires the ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively in order to interact with customers and patients, assess and de-escalate situations, monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and perform essential job duties.
