PositionSummary
The Retail Security Supervisor supports retail operations by serving in a dual-function role that combines reception and security responsibilities within the licensed retail facility. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, patients, and visitors; assessing and de-escalating situations; responding to workplace injuries and security incidents; and supporting regulatory compliance within retail operations.
- Serve as the primary reception point for customers, patients, and visitors, including greeting individuals, answering phones, and providing authorized information in a professional manner.
- Conductcustomerintakeproceduresbyverifyingagethroughscanningvalididentificationanddirectingcustomersthroughinitialpurchasingsteps.
- Enforcefacilityaccessrules,includingdenyingentryorrequestingindividualsleavethepremiseswhenrequiredbypolicy.
- Assess developing situations and engage with customers, patients, or employees to deescalate conflicts, disturbances, or disruptive behavior in a calm and professional manner.
- Respondtoalarms,disturbances,injuries,accidents,securityincidents,andemergencysituations.
- Lead initial response to workplace injuries, including providing First Aid and AED support and assisting with incident documentation and follow-up reporting.
- Initiate,document,andmaintainaccurateincidentreports,witnessstatements,andsecurityrecordsrelatedtosafety,security,orcomplianceevents.
- Coordinatewithemergencyservicesorlawenforcementwhenescalationisrequired.
- Protectcompanyassetsfromtheft,diversion,assault,fire,andothersafetyorsecurityrisks.
- Communicatesecurityconcerns,incidents,andongoingissuesduringshifttransitionstoensurecontinuityofcoverage.
- Maintaincustomerandpatientconfidentialityinaccordancewithapplicableprivacyandsecurityrequirements.

MinimumQualifications

- MustmaintainvalidFirstAid,CPR,andAEDcertification.
- Previous customer service, security, or safety-related experience preferred.
- Equivalentcombinationsofeducationandexperiencemaybeconsidered,includinginternalexperience.
This position requires working in environments where cannabis products are present, which may include exposure to marijuana odor and plant-related airborne dust particles.
This is a customer- and patient-facing position and requires the ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively in order to interact with customers and patients, assess and de-escalate situations, monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and perform essential job duties.
