PositionSummary
The Retail Security Supervisor supports retail operations by serving in a dual-function role that combines reception and security responsibilities within the licensed retail facility. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, patients, and visitors; assessing and de-escalating situations; responding to workplace injuries and security incidents; and supporting regulatory compliance within retail operations.
- Serve as the primary reception point for customers, patients, and visitors, including greeting individuals, answering phones, and providing authorized information in a professional manner.
- Conductcustomerintakeproceduresbyverifyingagethroughscanningvalididentificationanddirectingcustomersthroughinitialpurchasingsteps.
- Enforcefacilityaccessrules,includingdenyingentryorrequestingindividualsleavethepremiseswhenrequiredbypolicy.
- Perform routine and periodic checks of electronic security systems, including alarms, cameras, and access control systems, to ensure proper operation.
- Assess developing situations and engage with customers, patients, or employees to deescalate conflicts, disturbances, or disruptive behavior in a calm and professional manner.

- Leadinitialresponsetoworkplaceinjuries,includingprovidingFirstAidandAEDsupportandassistingwithincidentdocumentationandfollow-upreporting.

- Coordinatewithemergencyservicesorlawenforcementwhenescalationisrequired.

- Communicatesecurityconcerns,incidents,andongoingissuesduringshifttransitionstoensurecontinuityofcoverage.

MinimumQualifications
- Mustbeatleast21yearsofage.

- MustmaintainvalidFirstAid,CPR,andAEDcertification.
- Previous customer service, security, or safety-related experience preferred.
- Equivalentcombinationsofeducationandexperiencemaybeconsidered,includinginternalexperience.
This position requires working in environments where cannabis products are present, which may include exposure to marijuana odor and plant‑related airborne dust particles.
