The ideal candidate will be 18+, hold a California Guard Card, and possess excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Weekend availability and flexibility for shift changes are required in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid California Guard Card issued by the BSIS is required.
• Exposed Firearm Permit Required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain alert and professional in a retail environment.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high-visibility presence throughout retail areas to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Conduct routine foot patrols inside and around the store or shopping center to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Respond to incidents involving theft, trespassing, or disturbances in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Communicate regularly with store employees, property management, and other on-site personnel to exchange updates and receive direction.
• Support loss prevention efforts by observing shoppers and reporting suspected shoplifting to appropriate personnel.
• Provide customer service as needed, including offering directions or answering basic inquiries while maintaining security priorities.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.
