Job summary

Marksman Security LLC is seeking a Retail Security Officer for Coronado Mall to protect shoppers and property on a full-time basis. The role requires vigilance, professional conduct, and clear reporting to support client safety and operations.

Qualified applicants hold a New Mexico Level II Guard License, can work weekends and holidays, and are prepared to perform extended patrols and driving as needed. A clean driving record and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• Minimum of one year of security experience.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle, foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks.
• Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions.
• Document all interactions in a clear and concise written report, ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents).
• Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client.
• Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and/or other criminal behavior.
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and/or in possession of prohibited items.
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders.
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner.
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed.
• Other duties to be determined by management

Now Hiring Retail Unarmed Security Officers!

Applicants need to be able and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays, if needed.

Must have a current valid New Mexico Level II Guard License. Be able and willing to conduct extended foot patrols of the district area up to and including six hours.

Must have a clean driving record.
