Job summary

Marksman Security is hiring for Retail Unarmed Security Officers in Albuquerque, NM. The role requires weekend, evening, and holiday availability, a valid New Mexico Level II Guard License, and the ability to conduct extended patrols of the district area.

Clean driving record and strong customer service experience are essential. You will perform vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a professional presence, and document all interactions with timely reports.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• New Mexico Level II Guard License required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• At least 1 year of security experience.
• Must pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols to identify safety and security risks.
• Maintain visible presence and engage professionally with the public.
• Document interactions clearly and submit reports on time.
• Communicate important information to team members and client.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism or theft.
• Warn violators of infractions such as loitering or prohibited items.
• Respond to distress calls, alarms, or emergencies by contacting first responders.
• Identify and report safety or security concerns promptly.
• Enforce all rules and regulations as directed by management.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

Now Hiring Retail Unarmed Security Officers!

Applicants need to be able and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays, if needed.

Must have a current valid New Mexico Level II Guard License. Be able and willing to conduct extended foot patrols of the district area up to and including six hours.

Must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle, foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks
• Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions
• Document all interactions in a clear and concise written report, ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client.
• Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties to be determined by management
• Pay $17.95 an hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older to drive company vehicles
• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid state driver's license
• Valid New Mexico Level II Guard License
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time!
