Job summary

United Security Inc. in Rhode Island is seeking a Retail Security Officer for a part-time weekend evening role, offering a $20/hour wage. The position requires a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license, with duties focused on protecting property and maintaining safe premises.

You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, and uphold company values while working Sunday evenings. The role includes benefits such as paid training, recognition programs, and access to a 401(k); applicants

Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent sense of judgment.
• Can stay alert at all times.
• Candidates must also be able to successfully pass ALL pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Guards property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Patrols buildings and grounds to ensure doors are locked and secured.
• Preserves order and enforces security regulations.
• Watches for and reports conditions that could result in injury or loss due to fire hazards, leaking pipes, spills, faulty equipment, etc.
• Use of oral de-escalation methods to control disagreements.
• All other job duties as related or assigned by USI Management.

Available Schedules:

Sunday 6 pm - 11 pm

Security Officer Responsibilities and Duties:
