United Security Inc. is seeking a vigilant Security Officer in Washington, DC. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring for irregularities, and ensuring the safety of customers and staff.

Candidates must hold an active DC Security Officer License, a High School Diploma or GED, and be able to pass pre-employment screenings. English proficiency and strong teamwork are essential. Job Skills / Requirements

Weekend and evening availability is required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Patrolling and monitoring premises to detect any irregularities which may include suspicious behavior or security breaches.
• Keeping calm when alarms are triggered and escorting shopping customers and store employees to safety and maintaining crowd control.
• Responding to calls for help and contacting the fire or police department when necessary.
• Following orders and working as part of a team to ensure the safety or staff and customers.
• Writing up daily reports.

Skills:

• Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to resolve conflict/problem solve
• Detail oriented
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time

Requirements:

• Valid DC Security Officer License
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
