Job summary

New Seasons Market in Portland, OR seeks a Security Lead to protect assets, staff, and customers at the Williams Avenue location. You will deter theft, document incidents, and partner with store leadership to maintain a safe shopping environment.

The role requires 3+ years in security, a commitment to safety trainings, and flexibility for evenings and weekends. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to Store Operations Manager and offering benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of prior security, safety or related industry experience.
• Be of good moral fitness as determined by a background check and local authorities.
• Ability to exercise good judgment under pressure and respond to incidents.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by the business.

Responsibilities

• Identify, monitor and address situations impacting safety and security of customers and staff.
• Accurately report and document in-store incidents for internal records or investigations.
• Observe store activities to deter theft and maintain a safe environment.
• Serve as the store’s primary deterrent to safety and asset protection through visibility and engagement.
• Use de-escalation techniques with potentially escalated individuals.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and store leadership on security matters.
