Job summary

ScanScape is hiring a part-time Retail Scan Associate to visit local stores weekly, scanning barcodes to gather data that helps improve product and retailer performance. You will use a mobile app to record in-store findings and support ongoing data collection across grocery, drug, and other retailers.

The position offers flexible hours, typically 2–4 hours per week across stores, with extra hours for special projects.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet high, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned local retailers weekly to scan barcodes across stores.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes in various store locations.
• Provide quantity details for about 45% of scanned products.
• Complete display scanning store-wide each week.
• Perform additional work on Custom Projects when requested by clients.
