Job summary

Staples is seeking a Travel Specialist to assist customers with identity-related products and services, including passport photos and fingerprinting. You will engage customers, greet them professionally, and present travel solutions to meet client needs.

The role may involve onboarding tasks and supporting multiple store areas. A 1+ year background in customer service and Microsoft Office proficiency are expected, with a flexible schedule and US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers with travel solutions and product sales
• Greet customers and provide a professional, welcoming experience
• Present products and solutions to drive sales
• Verify customer identity and scan documents into the system
• Take passport photos and complete fingerprint images
• Troubleshoot fingerprinting and retail equipment
• Support other store areas during onboarding (8-10 weeks)
• Perform other duties as assigned in the store

Travel Specialists

engage customers with our travel services and products (i.e., travel supplies, luggage) for an easier travel experience. You will assist customers through TSA Precheck, passport photos, or by initiating background checks and other services for various federal or state programs. Services offered vary by store. Hiring immediately and training provided.

Provide Travel Government or TSA-related consumer sales for identity-related products and services

• Engage customers with comprehensive travel solutions including product sales (i.e. luggage)
• Greet all customers and provide a professional and welcoming experience
• Engage customers and present products & solutions that drive sales with our customer’s needs in mind
• Verify customer identity, scan required documents into database system, take passport photos
• Complete customer fingerprint images, biometric & data capture processes and paperwork
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot issues with fingerprinting and retail equipment
• Support other areas of the store during your 8-10 week onboarding period
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned or needed in the store

Essential Skills And Experience

• 18 years of age or older and must be a U.S. citizen
• Able to work a flexible schedule based on the store’s needs. This role usually has a more consistent schedule.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to operate a keyboard, photocopier, other office equipment
• 1+ years customer service-related experience
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand, and walk continuously
