Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to welcome customers and help them find the right products for home improvement. You will interact with customers throughout the day and assist with locating merchandise.

You will spend time listening to customers, answering questions, and organizing merchandise, with daily responsibilities varying by department. Benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
• Able to stand for long periods and perform job duties
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise
• Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf spaces and replenishing supplies
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time
• Cross-functionally train in other store areas to enhance customer service
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe)
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout
• Complete other duties as assigned
