Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a retail associate to act as the main customer contact, assist in maintaining plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and ensure store cleanliness. You will greet customers, locate items, and operate the cash register to complete sales efficiently.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, build displays, and help with sidewalk setups as needed. A high school diploma is preferred, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock.
• Restock recovered merchandise and stock shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and give change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean store aisles, restrooms, and stockroom; keep front end neat.
