Job summary

Elder's ACE Hardware in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a stock associate to unload trucks, keep the department clean and stocked, and assist customers with a smile. You will restock displays, remove promo tags, and handle non-stock special orders in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year of retail experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn all areas of the store.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of retail experience, hardware experience preferred.
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Promote prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
• Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired.
• Regular and prompt attendance is required.
• Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management).
• Maintain your assigned department: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked.
• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned to you and move with your Ace Pace.
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
• Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
• Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder's policy, that will discourage shoplifting.
• Respond to radio requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
