Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve as the primary customer contact, assist with stocking and merchandising, and operate the cash register to complete sales while protecting assets. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, building displays, assisting customers, and maintaining store cleanliness.

High school diploma preferred; no relocation offered. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and face shelves.
• Stock merchandise and rotate stock.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating items.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to total purchases.
