Job summary

Coast Guard Exchange in Clearwater, FL is seeking a full-time Sales Clerk Leader earning $16.80 per hour. The role supports the mission by delivering strong customer service and maintaining merchandise knowledge while overseeing daily sales operations.

You will work 30-40 hours per week, rotate opening/closing duties, and may supervise other staff. The position emphasizes loss prevention, safety, and responsive service to Coast Guard personnel and visitors.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
• Ability to routinely lift 20 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Experience operating a cash register and knowledge of sales inventory.
• Retail supervisory experience (preferred).
• USCG NAF sales clerk experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Oversee operations of the sales department and stock levels.
• Process sales at the register and handle payments.
• Train and supervise front-end staff when needed.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention and safety policies.
