$11.09 - $14.97 per hour

The Role:

A Visionworks Sr. Optical Specialist-Lead/Sales Lead is the face of our business, dedicated to ensuring the best possible experience for every patient and customer. This person is knowledgeable about optics, our products/services, and managed vision care. The Sr. OS guides patients/customers through the Visionworks experience, ensuring their eyewear needs are met in a simple, human, and bold way. A Senior Optical Specialist has at least 12 months of optical industry experience.

The SR. OS maintains license requirements per state guidelines and dispenses eyewear where required and licensed.

  • Delivers daily sales goals by executing the Customer/Patient Experience journey effectively
  • Engages with patients/customers and recommends products and services to meet their eye care needs
  • Measures patients/customers for eyewear and maintains product/optical knowledge through ongoing training to ensure the eyewear is right the first time; troubleshoots eyewear needs as necessary
  • Supports store operations, including opening and closing the store in lead positions, to meet financial and customer experience goals
Qualifications:
  • At least 12 months of optical experience (within Visionworks or another organization) or ABO Certification in lieu of experience
  • HS diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience
  • Maintain Optician License requirements per state guidelines, as needed
