Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate in Mundelein to deliver friendly customer service and manage daily store operations. You will assist customers, handle POS transactions, and help maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

Roles include balancing cash at POS, stocking merchandise, and possibly supporting other departments. Evening/weekend availability and reliable transportation are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Retail Sales Associate- The Salvation Army

Pay Rate: $15.00-$16.00/per hour

Status: Part-time, up to 28 hours per week

Hours: 4:30pm-8:30pm (Includes Saturday)

Location: Mundelein

This role combines customer service, retail operations, and mission-driven work to support The Salvation Army's community programs. You'll be an essential part of our team, transforming donations into resources that directly support our mission of serving those in need in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and offering assistance
• Process sales transactions accurately using our Point of Sale system including opening, closing, and balancing
• Maintain store appearance through cleaning, organizing, and restocking
• Help meet daily production goals by processing and displaying new merchandise
• Contribute to a positive shopping environment
• Must also have one or more these three duties:
  • Bank Running (requires reliable transportation)
  • Pricing
  • Cross trained in other Departments
