Job summary

The Salvation Army in Waukegan is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This part-time role offers a friendly work environment and the chance to support our community through donations and customer service. You will greet customers, process transactions at the POS, maintain the store, and help display merchandise.

Hours are 2:30pm-7:30pm, up to 28 hours per week, with Saturday shifts. Pay rate is $15.00-$16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and offering assistance.
• Process sales transactions accurately using our Point of Sale system including opening, closing, and balancing.
• Maintain store appearance through cleaning, organizing, and restocking.
• Help meet daily production goals by processing and displaying new merchandise.
• Contribute to a positive shopping environment.
• Bank running (requires reliable transportation).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and offering assistance
