Job Summary

PetSmart’s Pet Associate (Retail Sales Associate) engages with pet parents and their pets, providing positive experiences while upholding the company’s values. Responsibilities include store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care.

Job Responsibilities

• Enhance the pet parent experience in person, over the phone, at the register, and online.
• Greet pet parents and answer questions.
• Prepare online orders for pickup, ensuring a smooth process.
• Care for store pets, including feeding and habitat cleaning.
• Maintain store cleanliness standards.
• Support pricing and promotional activities.
• Manage product displays and stock.
• Recommend and sell merchandise, services, and live pets.
• Administer pet medications as directed by a veterinarian.
• Promote events like adoption weekends and charity events.
• Ensure safety for staff, pets, and customers.
• Respond to sick or injured pets promptly.
• Assist in various store areas as needed.

Qualifications

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Exposure to mechanical parts, wet environments, pet hair, and variable noise levels.
