Job summary

The Childrens Place in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Sales Associate to assist the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals and delivering excellent customer service. You will maintain product knowledge, support promotions, and ensure proper store presentation.

You will greet customers, help with sizing and replenishment, and process transactions at the cashwrap while educating shoppers about our PLACE Card. A flexible work schedule including weekends and evenings is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and promotions and offer solutions for out-of-stock items when necessary.
• Exercise sound judgment in addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate about the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow merchandise presentation, signage, and display standards.
• Support a neat, clean stockroom and a safe environment.
