Job summary

The Children's Place in Richmond, VA is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team and deliver excellent customer service. You will handle selling, product knowledge, and store presentation while maintaining a clean, organized environment and assisting with stock and backroom duties.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years of age, and retail experience is preferred. Weekend/evening availability and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency, prioritizing assisting customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Communicate value and quality of merchandise and share current promotions.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate on PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes/styles are represented.
• Follow merchandise presentation, signage, and display standards.
• Keep stockroom neat, safe, and organized; maintain customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Protect assets by adhering to Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute toward store goals and adapt to stock processing needs.
