Job summary

The Children’s Place in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain product knowledge and merchandising standards.

You will greet customers, assist with promotions, manage stock, and operate the cash wrap with accuracy, while adhering to safety and loss prevention procedures. This role requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings, with a friendly, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Retail experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing current promotions and offer solutions for “out of stock” items when necessary
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap while educating customers on the PLACE Card
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented
• Follow company standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display
• Support stockroom organization and maintain a clean environment with safety focus
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard
• Inform Store Leadership Team of maintenance and facility needs promptly
• Contribute focused efforts toward achievement of store goals
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock when necessary
