Job summary

The Children’s Place in Montclair, CA is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team and deliver excellent customer service. You will assist customers, maintain merchandise presentation, and help with stock and backroom organization.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, communicating promotions, and handling the cashwrap with accuracy, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized store environment. Must be 18+ with high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency.
• Greet and acknowledge customers with appropriate service.
• Explain value and promotions; offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Contribute to conversion with selling skills.
• Assist at cashwrap and explain The PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and representation of sizes/styles.
• Follow standards for merchandise presentation and display.
• Keep stockroom neat and safe; maintain customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping per company standards.
• Guard assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and safety needs.
• Contribute to store goal achievement.
• Process stock as needed.
