Job summary

GPM Investments’ Uncle's stores are seeking a friendly Cashier/Sales Associate for Store 6394 in Balmorhea, TX. You will greet customers, process transactions, and help maintain a safe, clean shop.

This role involves supporting lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with age verification, stocking shelves, and keeping bathrooms and lot area tidy. Flexible full-time or part-time hours with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Age requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Willingness: Be prepared to work hard and stay on your feet for most of your shift.
• Communication: Read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Math: Basic math skills required.
• Physical: Capable of lifting 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Pre-Employment: Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Personable: Friendly demeanor and make customers feel welcome.
• Detail-oriented: Notice small details that impact the customer experience.
• Reliable: Punctual and trustworthy.
• Flexible: Adaptable to various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience: Retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with age verification compliance.
• Offer friendly service and upsell when possible to increase sales.
• Keep the store, including bathrooms and outdoor areas, clean and safe.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to maintain fresh merchandise.
• Maintain a clean and organized store, including sweeping and mopping.
