Job summary

The Children’s Place in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver excellent customer service, apply product knowledge, and utilize effective selling techniques to drive sales.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, replenish stock, manage backroom organization, and adhere to safety and loss prevention standards while providing a clean, welcoming store environment for customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency to assist customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing attentive service.
• Explain value and quality of merchandise and promote current promotions.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment and poise.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain the PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow standards for merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat and organized; ensure a customer-ready environment and safety.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
