Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and maintain product knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-paced store environment.

You will engage with customers, process transactions, assist with price changes, manage stock, and support loss prevention and housekeeping, reporting to store management. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a flexible schedule including weekends, and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assists with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Maintains store cleanliness and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, adhering to fitting room policies, ringing customers in promptly, and inviting them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Maintains a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Assists Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty and following current policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
