Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and possess product knowledge to maximize customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes proactive engagement, integrity, and effective communication in a fast-paced retail environment.

As part of Store Operations, you will help maintain a positive work culture, support change management, and assist with merchandising on the sales floor while adhering to company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, abides by fitting room policies, rings customer in a timely fashion, thanks customer for shopping and invites them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Keeps professional, neat appearance including name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Assists Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty and following all current operational policies.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
