Job summary

The Children's Place in Rockaway, New Jersey is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, assisting with promotions, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented on the floor.

You will greet customers, handle transactions at the cashwrap, maintain stock levels, and follow loss prevention and safety procedures to create a welcoming, organized shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing current promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items when necessary.
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow company standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat, clean, and organized; maintain a customer-ready environment and safety.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard.
• Guarantee company assets by adhering to Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform Store Leadership Team of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute toward achievement of store goals.
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock when necessary.
