Job summary

The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Omaha is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate who loves flavor and people. You will help guests discover teas, spices, and seasonings while delivering a friendly, engaging shopping experience. The role requires weekend flexibility and a passion for great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide stellar customer service: greet guests, assist with product selection, give usage tips and personalized recommendations, encourage return visits.
• Maintain inventory and store appearance: stock shelves, monitor levels, notify management of low stock, assist with pricing and labeling.
• Handle and prepare products: blend and package as needed, retrieve merchandise, maintain knowledge through training.
• Follow store procedures: adhere to daily standards, keep a clean, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities & Preferred Skills – Part-Time Sales Associate

As a Sales Associate at The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Omaha, you’ll help create an inviting and flavorful experience for every guest by:

Providing Stellar Customer Service

• Greet every guest with our signature welcome and follow-up lines
• Assist customers with product selection, usage tips, and personalized recommendations
• Build connections with customers to encourage return visits and word-of-mouth referrals

Maintaining Inventory & Store Appearance

• Stock shelves, counters, and displays while monitoring inventory levels
• Notify management of low-stock items to ensure product availability
• Assist in pricing and labeling merchandise accurately

Product Handling & Preparation

• Blend and package products as needed
• Retrieve requested merchandise and answer product-related questions
• Maintain accurate product knowledge by reading materials and attending training

Following Store Procedures

• Adhere to operational standards and daily store procedures
• Contribute to a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment

Preferred Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a passion for creating a great experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to measure ingredients, use a scale, and follow recipes with basic math skills
