Job summary

The Children's Place in Rochester, NY is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will model excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and use effective selling techniques.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, replenish stock, and ensure a clean, organized store and backroom, while processing stock as needed and supporting loss prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with a sense of urgency and prioritize service.
• Greet customers and provide excellent service.
• Explain product value, promotions, and alternatives for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Contribute to conversion through selling skills.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout service and educate about the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure size/style representation.
• Follow merchandising standards and signage.
• Keep stockroom neat and safe; maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping per company standards.
• Protect assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Report maintenance needs to Store Leadership promptly.
• Support store goals with focused efforts and flexibility to process stock.
