Job summary

The Children's Place in Rochester, New York is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will provide excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and apply effective selling techniques to help drive store performance.

You'll maintain merchandise presentation, manage replenishment and sizing, keep the store and backroom organized, and perform daily housekeeping to ensure a clean, safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing promotions and solutions for out-of-stock items
• Exercise sound judgment in addressing customer concerns
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and inform customers about the PLACE Card
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display
• Maintain a neat, clean stockroom and a customer-ready environment with safety in mind
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard
• Protect company assets by adhering to loss prevention procedures
• Inform Store Leadership of maintenance needs to ensure a clean and safe store
• Contribute to store goals with focused, managed efforts
• Handle stock processing as needed
