Job summary

Goodwill Keystone Area is seeking a Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service and support daily store operations in Lancaster, PA. You will greet customers, assist donors, and handle transactions with accuracy while maintaining a clean, well-organized sales floor.

The role requires flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends, the ability to stand for long periods, and a neat, professional appearance. No formal education is required, and experience in POS is preferred.

Qualifications

• No formal education necessary.
• POS experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older due to the demands of the position, to ensure full availability for all required work shifts including the need for flexible scheduling across all store operating hours, and to meet specific compliance requirements related to state and federal child labor laws.
• Ability to read, write, hear, and speak.
• Ability to perform simple math.
• Must present a neat and positive appearance.
• Must be able to identify clothing sizes and gender specific differences.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greets, assists customers and answers telephone in a positive and professional manner.
• Operates cash register and credit/debit transactions with accuracy and according to all Goodwill Keystone Area policies and procedures.
• Organizes, color coordinates and rotates merchandise on the sales floor ensuring an attractive and convenient layout of sales floor along with visual merchandising and cleanliness of store.
• Promotes and represents Goodwill Keystone Area and its mission in a positive manner at all times.
• Actively participates in organizational programs and special events.
• Contributes to the organization by supporting additional tasks and projects as needed.
• Promotes an environment of workplace safety.
• Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Customer Service Manager.
