Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to be the first point of contact for customers. You will help shoppers locate and purchase items, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and maintain a clean store environment to support store profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will follow merchandising guidelines, assist with displays, handle basic cash procedures, and contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented work setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Ability to stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with locating and purchasing merchandise.
• Operate cash register, itemize purchases, collect payment, make change, and bag merchandise.
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise according to planograms.
• Keep the store clean, take out trash, and support overall store upkeep and safety.
