Job summary

New Balance Athletics, Inc. is seeking Retail Sales Associates to deliver exceptional customer service and product knowledge in our stores.

You will greet customers, understand needs, educate on NB products, and complete sales while maintaining a clean, well-stocked floor and accurate price labeling. Flexible weekend/holiday availability is required and prior retail experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Should be a people person.
• Past retail experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to quickly perform basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance; stand for extended periods and climb stairs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques and the GUEST service model.
• Greet customers and determine their needs.
• Educate customers on product features and benefits.
• Solve customer questions and problems.
• Transact sales through suggestive selling and effective closing.
• Correctly measure and fit customers with NB products.
• Inform customers about promotions.
• Keep the floor neat, organized, and well stocked.
• Ensure items are labeled and price marked.
• Protect products by tagging, monitoring, and reporting shrinkage.
