Job summary

The Children's Place in Carson, California is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals and delivering excellent customer service.

You will greet customers, share promotions, maintain merchandise presentation, stock, and ensure a clean, organized store and backroom. This role requires flexibility, weekend shifts, and a commitment to loss prevention and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Respond to customer activity with urgency, prioritizing assistance.
• Effectively communicate value and promotions and offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow merchandising standards for presentation, signage, and display.
• Maintain a neat, clean stockroom and a customer-ready environment with safety in mind.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Protect company assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform Store Leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute to store goals with focused, well-managed efforts.
• Be flexible to process stock as needed.
