Job summary

The Children’s Place is seeking a Sales Associate in Queens, NY to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will provide excellent customer service, maintain product knowledge, and ensure proper merchandise presentation, replenishment, and backroom organization.

You will greet customers, communicate promotions, handle transactions, manage stock, and adhere to safety and loss prevention standards. The role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items when necessary.
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized stockroom and a customer-ready environment with safety in mind.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Guard company assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform Store Leadership Team of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute towards store goals with focused, well-managed efforts.
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock as needed.
