Job summary

The Children's Place in Queens, New York is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team and deliver outstanding customer service, product knowledge, and effective selling techniques.

Responsibilities include maintaining merchandise presentation and stock levels, ensuring a clean store and backroom, greeting customers, processing transactions at the cashwrap, and promoting the PLACE Card.

This role requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and overnights as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with urgency and prioritize helping them.
• Greet customers and provide appropriate level of service.
• Explain merchandise value and promotions; suggest replacements for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to improve conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and promote the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels; ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized stockroom and store.
• Follow Loss Prevention procedures and protect company assets.
• Report maintenance and safety issues to Store Leadership promptly.
• Be flexible to process stock as needed.
