Job summary

The Children’s Place is hiring a Sales Associate in Altoona, Iowa to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will model excellent customer service, maintain product knowledge, and use effective selling techniques to meet sales targets.

Responsibilities include maintaining merchandise presentation, replenishment, and a clean backroom, while adhering to company standards and safety guidelines. A high school diploma and flexible availability are required.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing current promotions
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate customers on PLACE Card
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display
• Maintain a neat, clean stockroom and a customer-ready environment
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard
• Contribute to achievement of store goals and support safety procedures
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock as needed
