Job summary

The Children's Place in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will model excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and apply effective selling techniques to drive sales.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining merchandise presentation, replenishing stock, and operating the cash wrap while promoting the PLACE Card.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency, prioritizing assisting customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Explain value and quality of merchandise and share current promotions; offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels; ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat, clean, and organized; maintain customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Protect assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and safety needs promptly.
• Contribute to achievement of store goals.
• Process stock flexibly when needed.
